Samuel Harvill is a Wildcat. The 271 pound defensive tackle gave his verbal commitment to play his college football for Coach Bill Snyder and Kansas State on Saturday afternoon. Harvill has been one of Arkansas' most dominant defensive lineman since 2007 when he moved up to play as a freshman on the Saints' State Runner-Up team. The Sporting News' 2010 college football preview magazine hit news stands this month. Inside they name the 2010 Shiloh Christian Saints as a "Top Ten High School Football Team to Watch in America". The Saints' Labor Day opponent, Euless Trinity, is also on the list. You can pick up the magazine at any Wal-Mart and most magazine racks in your area. |

Haden Gilder is returning to the place he began his coaching career. Head Coach Josh Floyd introduced Gilder to the team earlier this month as the new Offensive Line coach for grades 7-12. Coach Gilder has been the Head Coach and Athletic Director at Cenla Christian Academy in Pineville, Louisiana for the past year. Prior to that, Gilder was the Head Coach at LR Christian and Union Christian Academy, as well as being an assistant at Pulaski Robinson for two years. He brings over 10 years of experience, with 7 of those years being a head coach. Gilder was a volunteer assistant for Coach Gus Malzahn at Shiloh Christian on the 1998 and 1999 state championship teams. Gilder has always ran the "Hurry-Up No Huddle" system as a play-caller, the same system used at Shiloh Christian. His knowledge of the offense and experience with the offensive line will benefit the program tremendously. Over 50 resumes from coaches all over the country were sent to SC, and Head Coach Josh Floyd believes Gilder is the best fit and God’s man for this position. He’s a great Christian man and Shiloh football is lucky to have a coach of his caliber join the staff. Coach Gilder and his wife Lissa have three children, Lane, who is 7 years old, Kate, who is 5, and Jack, who is 2. Welcome to Coach Gilder and his family to the Shiloh Christian Football family. The matchup is considered nationally to be one of the top high school football matchups for the year. According to Rivals.com, Shiloh Christian vs. Watson Chapel ranks as the number 5 high school game of the year, west of the Mississippi. The Saints, ranked #11 in America by MaxPreps.com, are embarking on a quest for their 3rd straight State Championship in 4A, while Watson Chapel is considered a favorite in the Class 5A.
