When the Shiloh Christian Football program began in 1989, the Saints played in the outfield of Tyson Park in Springdale, as well as fielding some games at Harmon Field in Fayetteville. In 1994 through a booming booster club and increased winning, the Saints were able to build the "Field of Champions". This stadium gave the Saints something to finally call their own. In 1999, Shiloh expanded the stadium with an addition to the home stands and a brand new away side. Also added that year were visitors concessions and gates. The year 2004 brought in one of the biggest announcements in Shiloh football history. Shortly following the hiring of Josh Floyd, it was announced that some major changes would be made to what was still known as the "Field of Champions". Through the gracious gift of the Lindsey family, Shiloh was able to install "Pro Green", the most state of the art turf surface in the world today. In honor of that gift, the name of the stadium was changed to "Lindsey Field at Champions Stadium". With the turf came a brand new Daktronics scoreboard and visionboard, 1 of only 3 in Arkansas today. A new fence and some concrete work completed the new look "Champions Stadium". It is now one of the nicest stadiums in Arkansas High School football. |
